When people talk about the Middle-East, what comes in mind is bombs, guns, destruction and deaths. Well this blog was created to show that sadly, this is correct. Hi, my name is Hasan Abdallah and throughout this blog, i will be sharing my opinion and thoughts about certain events that have happened or that are currently happening in the Middle-East. For those who don't know much about the Middle-East, it is located in Western Asia and Egypt,

It contains the following 17 countries: 

  

Egypt, Iran, Turkey, Irak, Saudi-Arabia, Yemen, Syria, United arab emirates, 

Isreal, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Cyprus.

The official languages are the following:

Arabic, Azerbaijan, English, French, Greek, Hebrew, Kurdish, Persian and Turkish.

The most common religions are:

Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Manichaeism, Yezidi, Druze, Yarsan and Mandeanism.

Most of my realatives live in the middle east so it is very hard for me to go through the day knowing some of my realatives could be in danger. My parents told me every 8 minutes, there is a huge tragedy in the country my realatives live in. It frightens me alot but gladly, technology these days allow me to contact them and make sure their happy and safe. 

The middle-east isn't the largest of the world's international territories or the most powerful, but the middle-east is where most of the world's destruction occurs. In 2003-2013, near 500 000 people killed (only in irak) since the irak war. There's currently a countless number of wars happening right now in the middle-east and these wars will affect the middle-east's population immensely.

What is ISIS?

Hello readers and welcome to my fourth blog post! In my last post, i spoke about a tragedy that happened in two very small cities but in this post, I will be looking at the cause of these incidents. Like i said in my last post, i will be talking about ISIS, who they  are, what they want and also what they are doing. Like most of you know, ISIS stands for the Islamic State of Irak and Syria, also known as the Islamic State of Irak and the Levant, (ISIL). They are a militant group that follow an islamic fundamentalist, doctrine of sunni islam, one of the three types of Islam i mentioned earlier in one of my blog posts. This militant group has been active since 1999 and have joined in Al-Qaeda in the month of October 2004 a couple years after the 9-11 incedent but later separated from Al-Qaeda February 4th 2014. ISIS have posted disturbing footage of their soldiers torturing and killing Iraqi and Syrian civilians, demolishing buildings families are living and taking people's money and other expensive treasures.

They are also guilty for selling oil illegally throughout different places in the world to make some money for weapons and trucks, especially Toyotas. Why Toyotas? Because hundreds of Toyota pick up trucks were found in some footage posted by ISIS supporters  and no one knows how they got There. 

Many ask why ISIS is doing all these terrible things. A man named Rahul Baxi sais: "Their reasoning behind all this is to form a nation governed by Islamic rules and regulations.  People who follow religion blindly, totally blur the thin line between sane and insane.  For them anyone who disagrees with their religion is a threat that needs to be eliminated''.  

What Rahul is saying is that they intend to make Irak and Syria a merged country named "Islamic State" and they want to make the sunni islamic religion strictly a requirement and not a choice, If one doesn't follow these rules abd regulations, they are considered a threat and must be eliminated.

This is really terrible news because if ISIS succeeds with this plan, They could put even more people in danger than they already have. Imagine living in a country where most of your money and

belongings are taken away by a government that uses this money to harm others. Its a tragedy that needs to stoped really soon.

Suicide Bomber In Iraq

Yesterday, there was a bombing in iraq. This bomb was from a suicide bomber. Also, It was in the middle of a funeral in the shia populated province Diyala. Security officials from the province said that the suicide bomber approached the commanders of the funeral and blew up his explosive vest. It is said that at least 38 people have been killed due to the bomb and 58 people were injured. If any explosive attack set place in a safe, war free country like the United states or Canada, imagine how the people would react, there whould be tons of chaos and it whould probably start another world war.

A bombing tragedy at a funeral is very sad and disrespectful to all people that were injured and died. The things the (IS) do to the people of Iraq and Syria are frightening and very wrong. For those who don't know who the (IS) is, It will be explained in my very next post. I will be talking about who they are, what they do and why they do it. There are more than 100 terrorist groups around the world, even Canada. The group of  (IS) have killed about a total of 170000 people, mostly Christians and the Shia Muslims. The Middle East takes up only 10% of the earth's land and yet, it is the most destructive place on earth.

As i said earlier, in my next post, i will be informing you guys on several threatening  

terrorist groups in the middle east, more importantly (IS). Who they are, what they do, and what they want. Thank you for reading my post!

Syria Conflict In Homs And Damascus

Recently in Syria, there has been a terrorist attack

 that killed a lot of people in the city of Homs. 

Two cars exploded violently killing 57 innocent 

people. Syria is in complete chaos with all these 

terrorist attacks and deaths that are happening every day and killing a mojor amount of innocent Syrians. 

Later, in the city of Damascus, in the same day within the same hour, four blasts struck in a suburb
of Sayyida Zainab, the location of Syria's holiest shia Muslim shrine, violently killing around 83 innocent Syrians. The terrorist group responsible for the two attacks in both cities were the Islamic state of Iraq and Syria, also known as (ISIS).

Its terrible living in an environment so dangerous for millions of innocent lives! Imagine how scary it would be for all the families in the middle-east. Imagine many mothers worrying about their child's safety at school or their husbands safery at work. The possibilities are endless of what could happen to their loved ones. Imagine if your kids had to live seeing dead bodies every day. How traumatized do you think a 7 year old would be if he saw a body that was viciously harmed laying on the street. Nobody knows how long theses tragedies will last but hopefully they end soon.
